张文霞
清华大学外国语言文学系教授、博士生导师。清华大学人文学院党委副书记、外文系党总支书记、教育部高等学校大学外语教学指导委员会副主任委员、北京市大学英语研究会理事长、Assessing Writing Journal 和“中国应用语言学”等期刊编委，以及多所高校的客座教授。
自1987年工作至今，一直承担量大面广的公外本、硕、博的英语课程和英语专业硕、博研究生的课程教学。其主要研究方向为应用语言学和语言测试学，在国内外学术期刊上发表论文40余篇，出版专著2部，主编教材4部。其中包括专著《中国学生英语应试作文篇章特点及中外阅卷人员的评判研究》、教材《新时代交互英语－读写译》与《写作实践》以及论文“World Englishes: issues in and from writing assessment”等。

Preface
《生活英语进阶》是继《生活英语听说》和《生活英语读写》两本教材之后，我们针对学术英语中需要掌握的知识和技能的学习体验和反思。这本书旨在从八个视角，帮助学生培养不同学科的文献阅读能力，以及在一系列跨学科和跨文化的与学生交流相关的教学活动中，开展学术交流的能力。
本教材是配合线上和线下混合式教学而设计的。全书由八个单元组成，内容涉及：学术词汇分析、学习策略、如何听懂讲座、如何参与讲座后的问答环节、如何撰写学术报告、学术写作中常见问题的解析等。本书具体有以下几个特点：
一、混合式教学的设计
每个单元的课堂教学部分都在线上MOOC（慕课）配有视频课程，同学们可以扫描教材中的二维码来进行学习；课堂活动部分在教材中，是对慕课话题的补充和训练。在混合式教学过程中，大家普遍认为，课时不够、课下学习慕课缺乏指导等因素给教学带来了很大的困难，而这本教材的学与练相互配合的模式刚好可以解决这类难题。学生既可以扫描二维码看视频课程，又可以通过教材中提供的练习题来巩固和提高课堂中掌握的语言技能。同时，慕课中有大量来自英美国家的助教和清华大学的同学之间的交流和互动，这也给大家提供了学习的案例。
二、项目式学习的案例
每个案例包括大学阶段的同学听讲座、参加微型国际学术会议、撰写海报和写论文摘要。以小组合作为课内外学习形式，以融合线上和线下学习活动为教学目标，旨在从同伴交流、共学共享中，培养学生和别人合作完成学术阅读与写作的能力。
三、国际平台的共享
在这本教材出版之际，“生活英语进阶”在国内慕课平台“学堂在线”上已有240424人选课；更可喜的是，在美国的edX学习平台上的General Academic English有20869名来自212个国家的学生选课；在Coursera平台上，《生活英语进阶》慕课是该平台上四门专项课程中的第三门（General Academic English）和第四门（Just Reading and Writing in English 2），共有13851人选课。因此，使用本教材的师生可以在国外平台与其他国家和地区的同伴一起学习，一起交流。
