基础教育课程改革经过十多年的实践,基本建立起适合我国国情、适应时代发展要求的课程体系,促进了教育观念的更新,推进了人才培养模式的变革,提升了教师队伍的整体水平,有效推动了考试评价制度的改革,为我国基础教育质量的提高做出了积极贡献。但是,面对经济、科技的迅猛发展和社会生活的深刻变化,面对新时代社会主要矛盾的转化,面对新时代对提高全体国民素质和人才培养质量的新要求,基础教育课程改革还需要进一步深化以适应新形势的要求。与此同时,基础英语教育领域也在进行着全面而深入的改革。新一轮课程改革要求教师提高专业水平、更新观念、转变角色,同时要求教师的教学行为发生相应的变化。研究学生如何学、教师如何教、考试如何考和教师如何在教学实践中提高核心素养已经成为目前英语语言教学研究的焦点。因此,英语教师专业发展的重要性和关键作用变得越来越突出。为了更好地配合新一轮的课程改革,提高教师的核心素养,外语教学与研究出版社精选并引进了剑桥大学出版社设计的这套“剑桥英语教师丛书”。
这套丛书由当今国际语言教育界的权威人士Jack C. Richards, Charles J. Anderson, John Read, Penny Ur等编著,由国内英语教育界专家、学者撰写中文导读。这些专家、学者在认真研读原著的基础上,结合中国外语教师的需求和现状,有针对性地用深入浅出的语言对原书做了概括、总结与评价,有助于英语教师及英语教育专业的研究生等对原著的学习与理解。
