在文化和旅游部、财政部、国家艺术基金理事会的领导下，在国内各级文化行政部门、各类艺术机构和广大艺术家的大力支持和积极参与下，尊重艺术规律，追求“目标效果”，通过对艺术创作、艺术人才和艺术活动的资助，发挥了宏观引导和调控作用，资助成果和资助效益逐步显现。 六年来，国家艺术基金共立项资助5109 个项目，涉及“舞台艺术创作”“美术创作”“传播交流推广”“艺术人才培养”“青年艺术创作人才”等方面。为了更好地宣传推介国家艺术基金的资助项目成果，国家艺术基金管理中心从2014—2018年度各类资助项目（作品）中，遴选了267 个具有导向 性、代表性、示范性的项目，编成《国家艺术基金资助项目成果选编（2014—2018）》套书。分为舞台艺术创作卷、传播交流推广卷、艺术人才培养卷和青年艺术创作人才卷。 其中，舞台艺术创作卷着眼培根铸魂、凝神聚力，收录了一批讴歌党、讴歌祖国、讴歌人民、讴歌英雄，反映现实生活，表现时代精神的精品佳作，或慷慨激昂，大气磅礴；或浅唱低吟，温润如玉。传播交流推广卷把文艺交流作为讲好中国故事的重要途径，收录了一批传播中国精神、展现中国风貌的优秀作品，既有古典的风韵，又不失现代的审美情趣。艺术人才培养卷践行教学相长、传承开拓的理念，展现了人才培养的新方式、新方法，突显出欣欣向荣、硕果累累的成果。青年艺术创作人才卷展现了青年艺术工作者锐意创新，在技 术与媒介、形式与语言、意向与观念等多方面的探索，体现出精湛的艺术技巧和深刻的艺术思想，作品笔墨精妙、传神生动、细腻挺秀，充满新时代的精气神。 总的来看，这些项目集中呈现了文艺工作者坚定文化自信，努力攀登艺术高峰，以社会主义核心价值观为引领，努力创作具有中国风格、中国特色、中国气派的优秀作品的景象，以及为人民抒写、抒情、抒怀，积极投身“深入生活、扎根人民”蔚然成风的气息。
