To the Users of This Book

In this series, we combine our teaching experience and knowledge of Chinese students with ETS'' expertise in testing and second language acquisition in order to design teaching materials, especially for Chinese learners of English. During the creation of the series, the New Oriental team and ETS team researched common errors that Chinese students make through data in corpus and sought methods in order to help students tackle these errors through authentic materials. Therefore, not only do students improve their accuracy in using English, but they are encouraged to see how English is used in meaningful and real-life contexts. This is why we are confident in the validity of the PrepEdge series.
But why should the users share our confidence?
Firstly, this is the first book where ETS has worked with a test-prep company to create a TOEFL textbook. In other words, this book is written by experienced TOEFL teachers, with the insight of ETS. Together, our two teams have been working on this project for nearly two years and will continue our endeavor in the future. This book is the life and soul of every member of our two groups and is something one should use in learning TOEFL.
Secondly, this book is a perfect blend of language acquisition and skill which, as we believe, creates the perfect concoction for the betterment of Chinese learners of English, especially those who wish to improve in terms of the TOEFL test.
We will not go on and on about how good the series is. Rather, we will let the book speak for itself.
