Preface
General chemistry and general chemistry experiments are important curriculum in an engineering university for students majoring in engineering and chemistry related. The general chemistry experiment course aims to further verify the fundamental principles of chemistry showing in general chemistry class, training professional skills by practice, provides a good link between theory and practice in general chemistry, and cultivate scientific approach in seeking the truth from facts. Through this course, students can finally improve their ability of practice, observe and analysis when face to problems in further study and daily lives.
This book was designed to help students majoring in engineering or biology to find their special interests in chemistry experiments as non-professional chemists. This book includes 10 experiments. This book includes 10 experiments. Dr. Wangchang Geng provided the writing outlines and requirements. Experiments 1~3 were edited by Dr. Fang Chen, Experiments 1~3 were edited by Dr. Fang Chen, Experiments 4~6 were edited by Dr. Wangchang Geng, Experiments 7~10 were edited by Dr. Jing Yan Dr. Jing yan. Dr. Xin Wang was responsible for the correction of this text book. Authors would like thank these teachers from the Teaching and Research Group of General Chemistry in NPU for their generous help with the preparation of this book.
