阿来,男,藏族,1959年生于四川省马尔康县,当代著名作家,茅盾文学奖史上zui年轻获奖者,四川省作协主席,兼任中国作协第八届全国委员会主席团委员。
Alai was born in 1959 in Sichuan Province, of Rgyalrong Tibetan descendent. As well as critically acclaimed collections of poetry, short stories, and essays, he has written a number of novels, including Red Poppies: A Novel of Tibet, which was shortlisted for the 2002 Kiriyama Prize. He was also the chief editor of Chinas largest science-fiction journal, Science Fiction World.
