语言非常简单，却衬托出幽默的情节：
亚瑟不想睡觉，想看电视。妈妈说“No”，亚瑟威胁说“I''llgetangry（我要生气了）”
妈妈说，“Getangry（那就生气吧）”，于是亚瑟就开始任性地生气了。
绘本风格极具幽默效果，亚瑟的怒气变成了天空的闪电、雷鸣、飓风，甚至宇宙的震动。家里小朋友生气时候，大人头疼的感觉有没有和这个很像？
小镇都发了洪水，爷爷趴在浮板上，请求道“That''senough!”
奶奶倒还挺镇定，被亚瑟的怒气发落到太空，可是她带着宇航员的头盔，织着毛衣，说“That''senough.”
但是亚瑟的愤怒没有熄灭，反而更加得到助长。直到身边一切都被“生气”化为齑粉。亚瑟只在宇宙里剩下一张小床。这个时候他冷静了。

Satoshi Kitamura was born in Tokyo and worked in advertising there before moving to London in 1980. He won the Mother Goose Award for Angry Arthur and he is now one of the most distinguished illustrators in Britain, having created over 20 books for children.
