《昆曲：西厢记》是中国海外戏曲传播工程丛书的一本。作者从《西厢记》最初的起源讲起，介绍了从唐朝《莺莺传》到元杂剧、直至今日《西厢记》千余年间的发展变化，以及《西厢记》的海外传播情况。并且着重介绍了昆曲西厢记的发展变化、唱腔特点等。书后附有《昆曲：西厢记》的英文剧本，以及昆曲ABC部分。

黄少荣博士于上世纪70年代毕业于西安外国语学院，80年代在西外英语系任教，1994年于美国鲍林格林大学获传播交际学博士学位，现为美国俄亥俄州辛辛那提大学英语及传播交际学终身教授。黄少荣博士的主要研究方向是跨文化交际和政治修辞，在美国发表过学术专著一部，学术论文16篇，并在美国全国及国际会议上宣读学术论文18篇。黄博士是美国传播交际协会会员和旅美华人社科教授协会理事。多年来，黄少荣博士在辛辛那提大学与西安外国语大学的校际交流与合作方面做了大量的工作，促成了两校互派教师的交流项目，并一直担任该项目的协调员。
