《哈罗德品特戏剧话语里沉默现象的语用文体学研究》为揭开这两个问题的谜底，首先将研究的矛头探入沉默的本质，证实沉默是人类话语交际中有机、动态、不可或缺的组成部分，并厘清沉默和言语、沉默和其它语言成份的关系。接下来，《哈罗德品特戏剧话语里沉默现象的语用文体学研究》依照品特本人的观点、将其戏剧中的沉默分成两大类别：静默和语境沉默b为了探究沉默在品特戏剧文本中所发挥的功能和作用，它被视为一种语用行为：在两个层面的交际中发挥着重要功能：一个是剧本内部的，剧中人物之间的微观语境的交际；一个是延伸到剧本外部、涵盖社会文化语境、从作者到受众的宏观语境的交流。

關於作者：

王燕，博士，副教授，陕西渭南人。本科、硕士就读于西安外国语学院。2008年在上海交通大学获得外国语言学与应用语言学博士学位。曾经在上海交通大学任教10年，现系上海政法学院外国语学院教师。从事学术研究十余载，前后在《戏剧一中央戏剧学院学报》、《外国文学》、《国外文学》、《当代外国文学》、《英美文学论丛》等核心期刊上发表论文20余篇。
