暴风雨》The Tempest
《暴风雨》是莎士比亚最后一部完整杰作，表现了他晚期对人类未来的设想，因此被人称为“诗的遗嘱”。尽管这部作品具有乌托邦式的幻想，但对现实中存在的罪恶仍有所揭露，特别是对于统治集团内部尔虞我诈、互相倾轧的现象进行了一定的批判。莎士比亚在剧中肯定了淳朴的爱情，谴责了自私的阴谋，对于人类的未来、人类理性和智慧的力量给予了正面描写。

《罗密欧与朱丽叶》写于1594年，是反映人文主义者爱情、理想与封建压迫之间冲突的一出充满诗意的悲剧。中世纪是人类历史上最黑暗的年代，爱情犹如伊甸园里的禁果，是不允许青年人采撷的。罗密欧和朱丽叶这一对纯真的青年为了追求爱情自由，最终以死反抗阻碍他们结合的封建势力，虽是悲剧，却充满着喜剧作品中对生活的热爱、对幸福的向往和对未来的信心，全剧洋溢着积极向上的乐观主义气氛。
