《AP物理英文》主要介绍了美国AP物理的考试内容、各部分内容所占比例、考题类型和考试时间，并针对中国学生的特点对应试策略提出了建议，同时也帮助学生制订学习计划。本书重点讲解了AP物理B和C涉及的18个知识点，对每个知识点的要点进行了剖析，并对这部分内容增加了中文解释。每个知识点都附有练习题。为了使中国学生通过练习对题型有深刻理解，练习答案采用中文表述，力求能指出题目的内涵；，另外，本书还附有近年来AP物理的真题，并对真题做了剖析。希望学生能深入理解，做到单一反三。最后，在书后的附录中，除了列出AP物理常用公式、数表以外，还增加了常用物理词汇。为了使学生容易查找和记忆，物理词汇按知识点的顺序编排，希望对不熟悉物理英语的考生有所帮助。

赵杰，教授，现任北京王府学校物理教师，从事美国AP物理和英国A—level物理教学。1960年毕业于河北师范大学物理系，毕业后分别于河北廊坊师范学院和天津师范大学物理与电子信息学院担任教学和科研工作。曾担任大学普通物理、理论物理教师40余年，有丰富的教学经验。承担过天津市和国家多项科研项目，在中外著名刊物发表过科研沦文100余篇。

1954年，美国大学理事会College
Board首次推出AP物理考试。从此以后，很多学生参加AP物理考试。2009年，50 000多学生参加了AP物理8考试，25
000多学生参加了AP物理C考试。这个数字还在逐年增加，特别是自从2009年美国大学本科向中国中学生开放以来，中国学生参加AP考试的人数激增，仅2011年，北京新增AP考点就有10个，其他省市考点也在迅速增长。
为什么中国中学生喜欢参加AP物理考试呢?因为如果你的AP物理考试成绩能达到4分或5分，美国大多数的大学会承认你已经获得大学学分，甚至有些大学也接受3分的成绩。这就意味着，你虽然还没进入大学，就已经拿到大学的学分。这样，你在大学读书时就可以节省很多的时问和学费，又何乐而不为呢?进一步来说，即便你的AP物理考试不能拿到学分，也足以证明你在中学已经学习了高等学校的课程，这对于大学入学有重要的参考价值。
